This week the weather conditions were very nice on the island including the ocean currents which slowed down since our last trip, the diving was very good as we had an excellent first day where we saw Hammerhead sharks, eagle rays Galapagos sharks and few tiger sharks, the water was very clear and the current was just right, we had a tiger on our second dive that wanted to play around so he stayed for a couple of minutes but some of us came to close to the tiger so he decided to leave the place, our third dive that very first day was even better as we were able to see two tiger sharks swimming together that was an amazing sight as the tiger were coming from the deep water and towards the shallows we were all excited as they let us take pictures without darting out. As we came around the rock and getting to the shallows there was this feeding frenzy of white tip sharks wanting to get a fish trapped in a piece of coral, they went crazy trying to get to the fish first cause competition was hard cause so many sharks and only one fish to eat.
Next day we spent time looking for the schooling hammerhead shark which was what this group wanted, we found the schools in Dirty Rock and Alcyone, they were deep thought but we saw them and is what it counts, some of the dives had this cold current that stirred up the bottom and made marble rays come out as they dont really like the cold, so they came up to play with the diver making good photo ops.
The afternoon dives were nice and relax, we try to find easy dive sites and this week Viking rock was one of them with a frog fish perching on a piece of coral just for the picture, some people were excited as they wanted to see them.
The week went on having good dives, with water conditions close to perfect, our guest were happy and to finish a good week we went to Dirty Rock for the last dive we were seeing some hammers coming to the rock to get clean, eagle rays came in close, a school of Jordan Snappers was in the middle of the main rock and the pinnacle next to it, marble rays came and went around, then we decided to drift out in the blue water to do our safety stop and as we started our ascend a huge school of hammerhead sharks acme in and out they were circling close to the rock but no close enough to be seen from the reef what a way of ending such a good week
Guests are going back to their home with incredible memories
Stay tune for more
