…our guests this week were from Germany, Netherlands, and the USA and they all joined us for a fun filled week of diving aboard the beautiful Belize Aggressor III. Guests began the boarding process at 3:00PM. Scuba equipment setup and each guest shown to their cabins. We had our welcome aboard briefing and champagne toast at 6:30PM.
Sunday May 17th
…We began the week on Sandy Slope at Turneffe islands atoll. New diver Lindsey would be making her 6th dive ever, so as expected she was very excited about seeing the spotted eagle rays, giant southern stingray, flounder, yellow headed jawfish, and sargassum triggerfish. During lunch we motored to Lighthouse reef atoll to finish out the day of diving on Julies Jungle.
Monday May 18th
…A few divers woke up early and made a pre-breakfast dive. Lindsey and I went for a Deep dive as part of her Advanced Open Water class. Wire coral shrimp, decorator crabs, scorpion fish, atlantic triggerfish, queen angelfish, spotted drums (juvenile / adult), schools of blue tangs, sharks, and a big ole loggerhead turtle were just a few of the critters and fish seen during the day of diving.
Tuesday May 19th
…We made the journey North cruising on the inside of the atoll bound for the Great Blue Hole. After the dive it was shopping time in the BAIII boutique (hats, rash guards, t-shirts), then a visit to Half Moon Caye to see some Red Footed Boobie birds! Cheeseburgers in paradise was on the lunch menu, then back in the pool for some more diving. Silver caves turned out some great marine life encounters. Sharks, turtles, rays, eels, crabs, angelfish, squid, and hunting octopus during the day and night!
Wednesday May 20th
…With light winds, we spent the day on the windward side of Lighthouse reef atoll. Awesome diving and up close shark action, friendly nassau groupers, graceful spotted eagle rays, and schools of goatfish moving in perfect harmony.
Thursday May 21st
…The Pyramid of Joy was deployed for shark photo opportunities. Three nice caribbean reef sharks cruised the reef wall for two dives on Cathedral. By request, the afternoon dives involved removing some lion fish to be served for Friday nights cocktail party. After the night dive, Ken presented the video of the week. After the video, a few divers turned in for the evening while others enjoyed a glass of wine or beer reminiscing on the great week of diving.
Friday May 22nd
