Saturday January 2nd

…18 Divers joined us aboard the Belize Aggressor IV. Guests began the boarding process around 4:00PM. Each guest shown to their cabins and SCUBA gear setup. We had our welcome aboard briefing and champagne toast at 5:30PM.

Sunday January 3rd

…The winds blew in from the Northwest, so we began our week of diving at Turneffe Islands Atoll. Black Beauty protected us nicely from mother nature and proved to be a beautiful site. Encounters included eagle rays, green moray eels, small hawks bill turtles and an abundance of blue tangs schooling on top of the reef near the wall. The afternoon dives and the night dive were equally impressive.

Monday January 4th

…Awesome diving around the Northeast of Turneffe. Nurse shark, spotted toadfish, spotted eagle rays, those pesky lion fish, spotted moray eels, groupers, beautiful barrel sponges, and cleaning stations for hogfish made for some fantastic photo opportunities. Once the diving was done, we motored over to Lighthouse Reef Atoll.

Tuesday January 5th

…We began the morning around Half Moon Caye. Shark and eagle ray encounters, resident great barracuda hovering between the sand channels, schools of blue parrot fish, and lots of southern stingrays in the sand areas were just a few of the sitings. For the afternoon we motored to Inspiration to find some “inspiration”! Giant lobsters, channel clinging crabs, porcupine puffers and nassau groupers were just some of the encounters.

Wednesday January 6th

…The morning dives were at Elkhorn Forest, then we motored over to Tarpon Caves for the afternoon and night dives. A fabulous site with formations separating the wall and the sand flats. After cruising the wall watching a couple caribbean reef sharks, the divers moved into the caves to see the silver sides, then back out onto the sand flats to check out the gray angel fish always in pairs and southern stingrays.

Thursday January 7th

…Clear skies and a cool morning made the decision easy for an island tour of Half Moon Caye. Afterward we headed North for the Great Blue Hole. Some divers having dove the Blue Hole before decided to stay shallow and enjoy the coral reef surrounding the abyss. For the afternoon and night dive we checked out Long Caye Wall. Critter encounters like decorator crabs, Spanish slipper lobster, pederson cleaning shrimp, mantis shrimp, and yellow lined arrow crabs were seen on the dives. After the night dive, we motored back to Turneffe Islands Atoll to finish out the week on Sandy Slope.

Friday January 8th

…An early morning dive, a hot breakfast, then another dive ended a fantastic week of diving in Belize! Once we arrived port, the guests relaxed until our cocktail party at 5:30PM and a little award presentation for the following divers:

Iron Divers - Matthew & Diane

Milestone Divers - Thananya (100), Tim (400)

SSI Advanced Adventurers - Melisa & Mark

Saturday January 9th

…Well that’s the week folks and at 8:00AM the crew said their good byes as the guests departed the Belize Aggressor IV.

EAT, SLEEP, & DIVE!
