                            Welcome Aboard!

This week we happily & eagerly greeted our new family members from USA, Germany and UK. A total of 20 guests on board including our returning guests Michael and Jim and Tina and Marnie which attended the Northern Itinerary last week .After a welcome drink and being showed to their cabins everyone gathered in the dining area for the general boat briefing and introduction of the crew, while munching on our chefs exquisite mini pizzas and assortment of seasonal fruit. After setting up equipment and finishing some paperwork, they were free to visit the very mystical Port Ghalib at sunset hours. After our steak dinner it was time for a glass of local wine & off to bed.

Sunday 22th of May

Day 1 started in Port Ghalib and continued in Marsa Shoona and Shaab Abu Dabab. The bell rings at 7 am for our first breakfast on board and at 9 a.m. it is time to leave the harbor of Port Ghalib and start our southern itinerary. The first dive site of the trip is Marsa Shoona, a perfect place to check buoyancy and diving equipment. A colorful reef with blue spotted stingrays and lion fishes, garden of fire corals and sponges. We spend 2 dives there. Hot Spots of the dives are the octopus and the pipe fishes. The late afternoon and night dive are located in Shaab abu Dabab. We visit the large coral garden with monumental formations of mountain, dome and mushroom corals. We score 4 dives including a night dive.

Day 2 started in Daedalus Reef. We sailed 10 hours at night and early in the morning we reached the offshore reef of Daedalus. Daedalus stands out for his large and rounded reef shape and his monumental light house. The early and late morning dive are located North at Zodiac to zodiac. We dive along the north wall of the reef. We dive into the blue and spot a couple of hammerhead sharks which get very curious and approachable. The hammerhead video will be posted on Thursday 2nd of June on our fb page. The early and late afternoon dives are located in the anemone garden and the south plateau. We score 4 dives.

Day 3 started in Paradise Reef, and continued in St. Johns Cave and Sirnaka Island.

We sail at night to reach the offshore reefs of St. Johns. The early morning dive is located in Paradise reef. A beautiful coral garden with white sandy bottom and pristine and monumental corals formations, large pinnacles of corals, a swim through and plenty of anemones . The late morning dive is located in St Johns Cave. We dive his system of swim throughs filled with fan and soft corals. It was such a scenographic dive. Time for lunch and we sail to Sirnaka Island where we spent the late afternoon and night dive. We score 4 dives today.

Day 4 started in Shaab Maksur and continued in Shaab Claudia, and Sataya reef. Ring bells at 6 a.m. and it is time to dive Shaab Maksur reef. We dive into the south plateau and spend most of the dive around 2 large pinnacles of corals which are the best that our itinerary has to offer with a huge diversity of healthy and colorful corals and large clouds of anthias fishes. The late morning dive is located in shaab Claudia which offer to our divers one of the most beautiful swim throughs of the entire dive trip. Time for lunch and in the afternoon we reach Sataya reef and snorkel with countless white stripes dolphins. Please have a look to the trailer on our fb page. The Late afternoon and night dive are located in Sataya Reef with his beautiful coral garden filled with school of yellow fin goat fishes and banner red butterfly fish.

Day 5 started in Shaab Sharm and continued in Gota Marsa alam.

The early and late morning dives are located in Shaab sharm. We visit the east wall covered with giant fan corals and soft corals and the south plateau with his large pinnacle of corals and garden of gorgonias. A Napoleon Wrasse is the spot of the dive. The late afternoon and night dive are located in Gota Marsa Alam. We score 4 dives today.

Day 6 started in Elphinstone Reef. We ring bells at 7 am in Elphinstone reef and sea conditions are excellent for diving. The early morning dive is located in the North Plateau. This is one of our most beautiful diving location and Robertos Favorite. It has a parasitic environment, deep blue water and infinite clouds of red anthias, colorful soft corals, squad of tunas. A grey reef shark just wanders above the plateau. The late morning dive is located in the south Plateau and it was an exciting dive with 2 white tip oceanic sharks just below our yacht, it was a 90 min dive, 40 of them spent with the sharks approaching cameras and diving fins. Please have a look to the related fb trailer on the Red Sea Aggressor page. At 4 p.m. we are back in the marina of Port Ghalib and at 6 pm our cocktail party starts.
