Saturday – 20th august 2016

On behalf of the Fiji aggressor crew, we would like to welcome our guest with a big BULA vinaka to Christina,

They all arrived little after 1100 in the afternoon at the same time the crew assisted each guest to their designated cabin, while they settle with their cabin our chef Peni prepared a lunch while we started our official crew introduction and safety briefing. At 1330hrs we departed jetty for Kadavu Island where we commence our check out dive, as we approached dravuni passage we were greeted by a group of pilot whales, which surrounded us the entire time while drifted beside them. And most of the time they even close to the big boat and not even bother that we were there, what a great first day. 

Sunday – 21st august 2016

To start of the day we made our checkout dive at Namara Island bay, start off with some colorful nudibranch and reef fish. After this dive we headed to Dravuni passage for a wall dive. During the dive we came across various types of groupers, jacks, lionfish, and many other reef fish. 3rd dive at rainbow reef again the main attraction here is the purple soft coral which covered the entire wall The hard coral growth is spectacular and of cause the colorful soft coral as well black coral and lots of colorful reef fish. After the dive we heaved anchor and headed to alacrity for our 4th dive our guest saw fusilier fish, unicorn fish and many reef fish.

 

Monday – 22nd august 2016

Another great day, weather were really amazing, M & M was our first choice this morning and we have seeing several oriental and the diagonal sweetlips as permanent resident for this site and not only our guest saw several pregnant pipe fish but the soft coral and black coral were really amazing. This dive site was filled of micro life many shrimps, blennies and cardinal fish. 2nd dive at Bombshell our divers saw a juvenile slender filefish hiding in the gorgonians from 50-60ft they use the gorgonians to help camouflage them from hungry predators like lionfish and scorpion fish. After all the good dives we headed down to M&M for our 4thdive lots of reef fish with colorful soft coral, our divers saw grey reef shark, white tip, barracuda and lots of critters.

 

Tuesday – 23rd august 2016

While we waiting for the bad weather to settle down we choose to do a wreck dive on our first dive and this is one of the biggest wreck in Fiji, the stern end of the boat it lies on 115ft but the bow at 70ft, for critters lovers this wreck is also a permanent resident for varieties of pipe fish and different types of nudibranch inside the cargo hold black spotted, diagonal and oriental sweetlips were also a permanent resident for each hold of the ship, and not only that giant morays eels and different types of groupers were part of the attraction for this wreck. After this dive we heaved anchor and move to liberyth for our 2nd dive during this dive we saw lots of reef fish, moray eel, angle fish and lots of cardinal fish and fusilier fish. 3rd dive at great astrolabe reef our diver saw white tip, grey reef sharks, humpback wrasse and many reef fish   

Wednesday – 24th august 2016

To start of the day we made our first dive to Denali wall. A group of pinnacles where the current was mild enough for everyone to swim around and explore all the small coral heads with abundance of fish life. During the dive we came across various types of morays, groupers, jacks, lionfish, and many other reef fish. As our divers were about to end their dive and what surprise them is a two huge Humpback whale that surface close to our divers and later entertained our divers with both shows their belly and pectoral fins movements our divers were still at 45feet and both whales kept coming back but our guest already had enough while our guest surface and some of our divers already in the skiff but the two whales kept coming back to entertain them but our guest already done with them what a great day amazing to scuba with the whales. 3rd dive at rainbow reef some of guest already had enough of diving and talking about the      

 

Thursday – 25th august 2016

We made our first dive at 7 sisters, a beautiful reef with a significant hard coral growth. Many moray eels, scorpion fish were discovered throughout the duration of the dive hard coral growth is spectacular and of cause a colorful soft coral, black coral and lots of colorful reef fish as we headed back to the boat one of our guest Zane who didn’t go on the first dive already in the water with the whales and the whales not even move and both whales were there the whole time he could have touch it but voted to stay away and just watch but later Nils accompany him and still want to play…another great day, 3rd dive at Rainbow reef lots of reef fish, grey reef shark, white tip, anemone, anthias and lots of damsel

 

FRIDAY – 26th august 2016

Another beautiful day 5/10knots of wind with sunshine and we did 1 dives today at MJ reef our divers saw basslets, flatworms, nudibranchs, regal angel fish, spotted porcupine – fish, longnose file fish and of cause the longfin banner fish as we headed back to Suva the crew started rinses all their dive gears and dried them before we arrives port

1530hrs – the Fiji Aggressor arrived in port

1830hrs – Cocktail was served and congratulations

0630hrs – continental breakfast was prepared for our guest prior to disembarking the vessel

 

SATURDAY – 27th august 2016

0630hrs – continental breakfast was prepared for our guest prior to disembarking the vessel. The watermen of the Fiji aggressor bids farewell to the guest and hope that they have a safe journey back home to their loved ones and hoped we would meet again someday
