Monday 19th December 2016

Today is arrival day on board the Indo aggressor with great excitement we welcomed 13 Guests from USA, Austria, Spain, UK and China Due to late arrivals we had no time to dive but enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the way to an island known as Gili Lawa Darat. Arriving in time for our first dinner together.

Tuesday 20th December 2016

We began our day with a check out dive in the bay of GLD. A sloping reef covered in beautiful hard corals in the shallow area. Highlights included: Broadclub cuttlefish, Nudibranchs and hawksbill turtles. The second dive we did at Tatawa Besaar. Highlights included: Mobula rays, Hawksbill turtles and Broadclub cuttlefish. The third dive we did at Sebayor, Beautiful coral gardens with lots of small critters to be found. Highlights included: Painted frogfish, Bargibanti pygmy seahorse and a variety of nudibranchs.

Wednesday 21st December 2016

We began our day diving at one of the signature dive sites in Komodo. Cannibal rock! A submerged seamount with a stunning coral reef. Highlights included: Whipcoral shrimp, Variety of nudibranchs and large schools of jacks, snappers and surgeon fish. The second dive we did was an incredible wall dive called Yellow Wall. Highlights included: 2 Giant frogfish, Green turtles and Bumphead parrotfish. The third dive we did at Torpedo Alley, a typical muck dive with lots of little critters to be discovered. Highlights included: Baby painted frogfish (4-5mm) waspfish, soft coral crabs, nudibranchs and seahorses. The night dive we did at torpedo alley as well. Highlights included: Frogfish, Seahorses nudibranchs and a variety of crustaceans.

Thursday 22nd December 2016

Today we began diving at middle reef just outside of the bay of Nusakode. A submerged pinnacle with beautiful coral coverage. Highlights included: White tip reef sharks, Octopus, Large schools of surgeon fish and dog toothed tuna. The second dive we did at Pelican head. A stunning wall dive with an incredible coral garden in the shallow area. Highlights included: Dolphins, Mantis shrimp, nudibranchs and mobula rays. The third dive we did at banana island, a small island in the middle of the Nusakode bay. Highlights included: Hairy shrimp, Stonefish, octopus and Black tip reef shark. The nights dive we did at Torpedo alley. Highlights included: frogfish, seahorses and a wide variety of nudibranchs.

Friday 23rd December 2016

This morning we started diving at Yellow wall, An incredible wall dive in the Nusakode bay. We had many sightings of: Turtles, White tip reef sharks, Blue spotted stingrays and giant frogfish. The second dive was at Cannibal rock, a submerged reef with lots of schooling fish. Highlights included: white tip reef sharks, black tip reef sharks, octopus and large schools of surgeon fish. The third dive was at a dive site called Rock slide. A sloping reef with big boulders scattered around. Highlights included: leaf scorpion fish, Nudibranchs and a large school of Javanese cownose rays. The night dive was at banana island. Highlights included: seahorses, frogfish, nudibranchs and a wide variety of shrimp.

Saturday 24th December 2016

Today we began diving at 3 sister, a pinnacle dive just of Padar island. Underwater we found 3 stunning pinnacles that are covered in stunning hard and soft corals. Highlights included: White arktip reef sharks, sea apples, nudibranchs and large schools of surgeon fish. The second dive was at secret garden, a sloping reef with a mini wall covered in soft and black coral. Highlights included: Broadclub cuttlefish, Giant frogfish, Nudibranchs and Coleman shrimp. The third dive and night dive was at pasir puti. Highlights included: many giant frogfish, Flying gurnards, nudibranchs, free swimming moray eels and a wide array of crustaceans.

Sunday 25th December 2016

Early this morning we arrived at a place called Langkoi. Here we did 2 dives at a dive site called manta alley hoping to see the manta rays, unfortunately for us there were no manta rays to be seen. Thankfully we had many sightings of black tip reef sharks and white tip reef sharks and we even had a gray reef cruising over the reef. The third dive we did at a place called Loh sera. The dive we did was on an old wreck. Big schools of Spade fish were swimming over the wreck, and on the wreck it self were many scorpionfish to be found. Highlights included: Mandarin fish, Nudibranchs, Stonefish and Giant lobsters. The night dive we did on the wreck again. Highlights included: Mandarin fish, Nudibranchs and a wide variety of Crustaceans.

Monday 26th December 2016

Today we began diving at Makasaar reef, a shallow reef were we hoped to see manta rays. This time we were in luck as we saw lots of Manta rays, spotted eagle rays, turtles and bumphead parrotfish. The second dive was at Tatawa besaar, a sloping reef with a super healthy coral garden. Highlights included: Hawksbill turtles, White tip reef shark, nudibranchs and large schools of jacks. The third dive and night dive was at Wainilu, an excellent site for macro life. Highlights included: Robust ghostpipefish, Spanish dancers, nudibranchs, frogfish, coleman shrimp, zebra crab and ornate ghostpipefish.

Tuesday 27th December 2016

Today we began diving at Batu Balong, an incredible pinnacle dive with a super healthy reef in the shallows. Highlights included: jacks and giant trevallys hunting the fuseliers, free swimming moray eels, white tip reef sharks and napoleon wrasse. Our second dive was at shotgun, Highlights included: Leaf scorpion fish, Green turtle’s and a wide variety of reef fish. The third dive we did at makasaar reef, a very shallow reef were we hoped to find the manta rays. Unfortunately no mantas this time but we did had many sightings of: ribbon eels, emperor shrimp, Morray eels and turtles. For the night dive we went to stargazer slope. Highlight’s included: Dwarf cuttlefish, Mantis shrimp and white v octopus.

Wednesday 28th December 2016

Our first dive was at Batu Balong an incredible pinnacle dive highlights included schooling anthias, giant trevally, white tip reef sharks, giant morays, nudibranchs and schooling fuseliers.

Our final dive of the trip was at Makassar where we hoped to find mantas.

We then headed to the north of Rinja Island and anchored just off the island of Wainilu in preparation for our official dragon trekking experience. We had close encounters with Komodo Dragons, monkeys, Timor deer and wild pigs. On our way back to port guests enjoyed a farewell cocktail party followed by a viewing of the official trip video and a small award ceremony. We then enjoyed a farewell dinner together on board the Indo Aggressor. Sadly tomorrow is departure day and guests disembark.
