Thursday January 12th

This week, we welcomed aboard visitors coming from Australia, United Kingdom, USA, Brazil and Russia. We picked them up from Baltra Airport and the Itabaca Channel in the morning and headed out to a briefing and to get ready for our check dive.

Friday January 13th  

On Friday, we had two dives in Punta Carrion north side of Santa Cruz Island. We saw mobulas, one Galapagos shark, mola molas, eagle rays, manta rays, white tip sharks, sea lions and sea turtles.

After them, we went on a land tour in Bartolome Island where we could see a volcanic and pristine landscape from the top of the walking trail.

Saturday January 14th

We reached Cabo Marshall to dive with manta rays, mobula rays, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, barracudas, cornet fish and trumpet fish.

Sunday January 15th

On Sunday we went to Wolf, one of the most famous islands in Galapagos. Here, we could see barberfish, parrot fish, Mexican hog fish, Guinea fowl fish, porcupinefish, grouper, hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks and jacks.

Monday January 16th 

Around Darwin and Wolf we had other interesting dive times, in which we saw tunas, dolphins, moray eels, white tip sharks, jacks, wahoos, hammerhead sharks, sting rays, triggerfish.

Tuesday January 17th

Going down south, at Cabo Douglas and Punta Vicente Roca, Tuesday gave us the chance to see other variety of the marine life: we could swim with harlequin wrasse fish, leather bass, grouper, creole fish, mola molas, marine iguanas, red lipped bat fish, and horn shark. Great day to celebrate Jeff’s birthday!

Wednesday January 18th

On Wednesday, after a night navigation going east, we could visit Cousins’ Rock. It was waiting for us with sea lions, white tip sharks, eagle rays, cow rays, sea turtles and barracudas.

 

Later on, we went to visit the highlands of Santa Cruz to see the famous giant tortoises: the Galapagos were peacefully walking around the place, in the wild.

Thursday January 19th

 

We finished our cruise with the satisfaction of a great week on board. Thanks again for joining us along the Galapagos Aggressor, we will be waiting for another visit when you wish to come back... and we hope it is very soon!
