Average Air temperature 86 F (30 Celsius)
This week we had a late departure but still we made on time, Caño is so close, and that is part of the beauty of this adventure, you get on this boat and next day you are diving already.
Our week started with easy diving and this week the top water conditions were close to perfect, but the underwater part was different, for some reason while the surface was nice calm and warm water below 70 feet of water water was cold 75 F and water was dark, the Ocean below was really moving. Anyways we were able to find some of the finest places around Caño island, there were places where you didn’t have to go deep to get a good dive, places like Faro, the ship wreck and the Anchor with tons of fish clear water and very comfy temperature, we had some amazing sights, like the mantas in Bajo el Diablo, also someone said they saw seven mobula rays, there was this dive where we saw a Manta ray dragging a15 feet line with fishing hooks attached to it, divemaster Facundo understanding the risk involved in helping an Animal this size put his life on the line grabbed his knife and went for the line, then the magic happened, Manta seem to know she was being helped and stopped or at least it looked like that cause Facundo was able to free the Manta, she made a loop and darted away… we were all happy for the Manta.
The quantities of White tip shark in some of this sites is fascinating, there were also stingrays, puffers and different kind of grunts, there are places where there are so many fish if you and you buddy have the school of fish in the middle you won’t be able to see each other, another thing cool about it is that they let you in with them and just open a hole for you to swim thru, another thing that made the week was the fact that we found Harlequim shrimp and a sea horse some of the guests when crazy about the sea horse, they took so many pictures of it.
The hike to the Corcovado National park is another of our highlights of the trip guests really enjoy the walk, the forest and all the animals you get to see in this hike, specially the fact that we had hire people to guide our guests thru the forest explaining some of the nature wonders of the park.
The second to the last day we had our sushi party up on deck, our guest got to relax and enjoy the chefs excellent food.
This week both crossing were really easy and flat.
Stay tune for more
