Friday 14th July 2017

Today is arrival day on board the Indo aggressor with great excitement we welcomed 17 Guests from USA, Canada, China, Switzerland, France, Netherlands and Hongkong. Due to late arrivals we had no time to dive but enjoyed a beautiful sunset and dinner in Benoa Harbor.

Saturday 15th July 2017

Unfortunately we encountered some very bad weather on our way to Padang Bay. Due to this weather we were not able to dive Padang Bay but were forced to go straight to Moyo island.

So today we spend the day traveling and enjoyed some dolphins that accompanied us along the way.

Sunday 16th July 2017

We began our day diving at Angel Reef, a submerged seamount with crystal clear water and populated by large schools of fish. Highlights included: spotted eagle ray, nudibranchs, moray eels and blue spotted stingrays.

The second dive was at Moyo Reef, a stunning wall dive covered in beautiful corals. Highlights included giant trevally, moray eels, black tip reef sharks and leaf scorpionfish.

Around 3PM we arrived on the north coast of Sumbawa at an island called Satonda. Our first dive was at Satonda Reef, a sandy reef slope with lots of bommies to be discovered. Highlights included mantis shrimp, nudibranchs, lobsters and a wide array of crustaceans.

The night dive was at Pokemon another sandy reef slope. Highlights included: spearing mantis shrimp, nudibranchs, ghostpipefish, stargazer and a wonderpus.

Monday 17th July 2017

Early this morning we arrived at Sangeang volcano. We began our day diving at a dive site called Hot Rocks, a black sandy reef. Highlights included frogfish, decorated crabs, leaf scorpion fish and a wide variety of nudibranchs.

The second dive was at a dive site called Tykno, another sandy reef slope with a nice coral formations. Highlights included: seahorse, starrynight octopus, clown frogfish and cuttlefish.

The third dive was at Bonto, at Bonto we encountered an exciting current that pushed us over a stunning coral reef. Highlights included: nudibranchs, mosaic boxer crab, leaf scorpionfish and whip coral shrimp.

The night dive was at Bonto as well and we had many sightings of decorated crabs, mantis shrimp, nudibranchs and squid.

Tuesday 18th July 2017

In the early hours we headed west to Banta Island. We began our day diving West Point here highlights included spectacular corals, banded sea snakes and free swimming morays.

Our second dive was at K2 a beautiful slope wall combination. Highlights included: giant frogfish, leaf scorpion fish in all colors, electric clams and juvenile barramundi.

The third dive was at Rollercoaster an incredible wall and slope combination. Highlights included manta rays, banded sea snake, schooling jacks and whip coral shrimp.

The night dive was at Circus. We had many sightings of: stargazers, juvenile frogfish, coral cat sharks and octopus.

Wednesday 19th July 2017

This Morning we started diving at a site called Batomoncu bay, a sandy slope with big coral boomies scattered around. Highlights included: Leaf scorpion fish, Mantis shrimp and a variety of nudibranchs.

The second dive we did at Big Nose, A super healthy coral reef with lots of schooling anthias. Highlights included: Pygmy seahorses, Black tip reef sharks and green turtles.

Our third dive was at GLD Passage. Highlights included leaf scorpion fish, crocodile fish, giant trevally, white tip reef sharks and many giant sweetlips

Our night dive was at Spanish Step. Highlights included octopus, flying gurnards and spearing mantis shrimps.

Thursday 20th July 2017

We began our day diving at Castle Rock, a submerged seamount in the north of the Komodo national park. Highlights included: white tip reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, giant trevallys and large schools of surgeon fish.

The second dive was at one of Komodo’s signature dive sites called shotgun, a exciting drift between Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut. Highlights included: manta rays, mobula rays, giant trevallys and black tip reef sharks.

The third dive was at crystal rock, a beautiful pinnacle nicely covered in orange and yellow soft corals. Highlights included: white tip reef sharks, giant trevallys and napoleon wrasse.

The night dive was at GLD Bay. Highlights included: broadclub cuttlefish, mantis shrimp and a wide variety of nudibranchs.

Friday 21st July 2017

We began our day diving a spectacular pinnacle known as Batu Balong. Highlights included white tip reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, large hawksbill turtles, giant morays, nudis and schooling fusiliers and giant trevally.

We then had our second dive at Makasaar reef where we hoped to find mantas. 1 group was in luck and had 3 close encounters with a giant manta ray. Other sightings were: marble stingray, hawksbill turtles and black tip reef sharks.

The third dive and night dive were at Wainilu, a sandy reef slope with excellent macro life. Highlights included: seahorses, dwarf cuttlefish, ribbon eels, nudibranchs,

Saturday 22nd July 2017

We began our day diving at a dive site called secret garden. Highlights included: giant frogfish, nudibranchs and schooling batfish.

The second dive was at Pasir Putih. Highlights included: frogfish, seahorses, nudibranchs and a wide array of crustaceans.

The Third dive was at the 3 Sisters, 3 incredible pinnacles covered in the most beautiful corals and loaded with schooling anthias. Highlights included: white tip reef sharks, sea apples, nudibranchs and moray eels.

The night dive was at Pasir Putih. Highlights included: giant frogfish, nudibranchs, octopus and squid.

Sunday 23rd July 2017

This morning we started diving just north of Gili Lawa Laut at a dive site called Castle Rock. A wonderful pinnacle dive, as we entered the water we were greeted by a Giant Trevallys and Jacks hunting in the blue. Highlights included: White tip reef shark, Grey reef shark, Giant trevallys and Napoleon wrasse.

Our second dive was another incredible pinnacle dive at Crystal rock. Highlights included: Black/White tip reef sharks. Giant trevally and hawksbill turtles.

The third dive was at shotgun, an exciting drift dive in the channel between GLD and GLL. Highlights included: Manta rays, White tip reef sharks and Schooling Javanese Cownose rays!!.

The night dive was in the Bay of GLD. Highlights included: nudibranchs, Squid and a broadclub cuttlefish.

Monday 24th July 2017

Our first dive was at Tatawa Besar, an incredible sloping reef. highlights included schooling anthias, giant trevally, white tip reef sharks, giant morays, nudibranchs and schooling fuseliers.

Our final dive of the trip was at Mauan where we hoped to find mantas.

We then headed to the north of Rinja Island and anchored just off the island of Wainilu in preparation for our official dragon trekking experience. We had close encounters with Komodo Dragons, monkeys, Timor deer and wild pigs.

On our way back to port guests enjoyed a farewell cocktail party followed by a viewing of the official trip video and a small award ceremony. We then enjoyed a farewell dinner together on board the Indo Aggressor. Sadly tomorrow is departure day and guests disembark.
