14th October 2017

Dive 1: Angel Reef

Time in: 15:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our trip with a check-out dive at Angel Reef. Crystal clear and warm water welcomed us.

Special marine life: Banded sea snake, white tip reef shark, black tip reef shark.

 

Dive 2: Moyo Village

Time in: 17:45. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second and last dive of the day was a sunset dive in front of the Moyo Island Village. A black sandy reef slope with lots of small coral heads made for one amazing dive!

Special marine life: cuttlefish, pipefish, decorator crab, nudibranchs.

 

15th October 2017

Dive 1 & 2: Hot Rocks

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metrer

Dive report: Our first and second dive  was at the famous dive called Hot Rocks. A sandy reef slope with in the shallow water bubbles coming out of the sand!

Special marine life: Pygmy seahorse, nudi’s, leaf scorpion fish.

 

Dive 3 & 4: Tyckno

Time in: 14:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our third and night dive were on another black sandy reef slope with excellent macro life

Special marine life: leaf scorpion fish, ornate ghost pipefish, mosaic boxer crab.

 

16th October 2017

Dive 1: West Point

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our day diving with a dive at West Point, at this dive site we hoped to spot some manta rays. Unfortunately no manta rays this time.

Special marine life: ribbon eels, moray eels, black tips.

 

Dive 2 & 3: K2

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive was on the reef slope of K2. This dive we usually start of deep to check out the coral heads in the deep for frogfish.

Special marine life: leaf scorpion fish, frogfish, electric clam.

 

Dive 4: The Circus

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our night dive was on the sandy reef slope called The Circus.

Special marine life: stonefish, spiny devil fish, octopus.

  

17th October 2017

Dive 1 & 2: Crystal Rock

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our first and second dive of the day was an incredible pinnacle dive called Crystal Rock. This site consists out of large coral heads covered in beautiful soft corals.

Special marine life: white tip reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, eagle ray.

Dive 3: Shotgun

Time in: 14:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive was at the world famous shotgun. An interesting reef dive with an exciting drift between gili lawa darat and gili lawa laut.

Special marine life: white tips, giant trevally, leaf scorpion fish.

Dive 4: Spanish Step

Time in: 18:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our night dive was on the coral reef slope called Spanish Steps.

Special marine life: octopus, nudi’s, soft coral crab.

 

18th October 2017

Dive 1: Batu Bolong

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our first dive was a stunning pinnacle dive called Batu Bolong, sloping reef and wall covered in anthias, sergeant majors and fuseliers out in the blue.

Special marine life: white tip reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, moray eels.

Dive 2: Tatawa Besar

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive at Tatawa Besar was a gentle drift dive over a sandy reef slope covered with large coral heads.

Special marine life: white tips, giant trevally, cuttlefish.

Dive 3 & 4: Wainilu

Time in: 18:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our third and night dive was on a sandy reef slope called Wainilu.

Special marine life: octopus, nudi’s, soft coral crab, frogfish.

  

19th October 2017

Dive 1: Castle Rock

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our day diving at Castle Rock, a submerged reef that offers large schools of fish and loads of sharks.

Special marine life: white tip reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, moray eels, fusilier baitball.

Dive 2: West side

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive was on the West Side of Gili Lawah Darat. An easy going no current coral reef.

Special marine life: soft coral crab, leaf scorpion fish, ribbon eels.

Dive 3: Siaba Besar 

Time in: 14:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our third dive was on Siaba Besar, a sandy reef slope that is host to lots and lots of green turtles feeding on the big patches of grass.

Special marine life: pipefish, green turtles, frogfish.

Dive 4: West Side 

Time in: 18:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive was on the West Side of Gili Lawah Darat. An easy going no current coral reef.

Special marine life: octopus, nudi’s, soft coral crab, frogfish.

  

20th October 2017

Dive 1: Big Nose

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our day diving at Batumonco with our first dive being Big Nose, a wall slope combination.

Special marine life: hawksbill turtle, white tips, nudibranchs.

Dive 2 & 3: Batumonco Bay

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: our second dive was in the Batumonco Bay, a sandy reef slope with huge coral heads all over the place.

Special marine life: octopus, cuttlefish, nudis, hawksbill turtle, humphead parrotfish.

Dive 4: GLD Bay

Time in: 18:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our night dive was in the beautiful bay of Gili Lawah Darat.

Special marine life: dwarf cuttlefish, broadclub cuttlefish, octopus, MIMIC OCTOPUS!

  

21st October 2017

Dive 1: Shotgun

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our day diving at the lee side of Shotgun, a stunning hard coral reef with big coral heads all over the place.

Special marine life: leaf scorpion fish, hawksbill turtles, moray eels.

Dive 2: Crystal Bay

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second dive was in the Gili Lawa Laut Bay, a beautiful soft coral reef with 2 broadclub cuttlefish hanging around.

Special marine life: soft coral crab, leaf scorpion fish, ribbon eels, cuttlefish.

Dive 3: Batu Bolong 

Time in: 14:30. Water temperature: 24°C. Visibility: Ok, 15 metres.

Dive report: Our third dive was an incredible pinnacle dive called Batu Bolong.

Special marine life: hawksbill turtles, banded sea snake, mantis shrimp.

Dive 4: GLD Bay 

Time in: 18:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our night dive was in the GLD Bay.

Special marine life: cuttlefish, hawksbill turtle, nudi’s.

 

22nd October 2017

Dive 1: Crystal Bay

Time in: 07:15. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: We began our day diving on Gili Lawah Laut at Crystal Bay.

Special marine life: leaf scorpion fish, hawksbill turtles, moray eels broadclub cuttlefish.

Dive 2: Manta Point

Time in: 10:30. Water temperature: 28°C. Visibility: Good, 20 metres.

Dive report: Our second and last dive of this trip was at manta point.

Special marine life: many many many many manta rays!
