This trip all our guests are from Indonesia. Our crossing to the island was beautiful, nice sunset with some dolphin really close to the boat, but a little difficult as the weather conditions were a bit choppy. We got there in time for some rest before the first dive. The trip gave divers plenty of time to prepare their gear before our diving adventure began.
Our first highlight was in Manuelita and simply stunning: 4 types of sharks were spotted as well as yellow fin tunas passing by and of course, our hammerheads sharks, silky sharks, Galapagos shark, all just in one day is simply fantastic. We also saw smaller animals like lobsters, moray eels and the usual reef fish being chased by the many white-tip sharks that live in the island, it couldnt have started any better. Tiger sharks as soon as we descended were also there and then they disappeared to return a few minutes later.
Amazing day so our guests were really happy…TIGER SHARK!! One of the many reasons why they decided to come all the way from Indonesia, to see this kind of shark.
Dirty Rock and Punta Maria were some of our next dive sites. Both of these sites had hammerhead schools coming in groups of 10 o 15. In Punta Maria we dove with more than 4 Galapagos Sharks, very close to us…. Great dive site! The third dive was in Manuelita deep, and again the hammerheads were there, and the Tiger Shark a pretty big female!!!!
When you are going to Alcyone you always know that anything can happen there. And it was true again! We saw one of the biggest schools of jackfish ever! And the hammerheads were there swimming around us and following our bubbles in the blue….
Thanks to our guests for sharing some fantastic diving days with us, and looking forward to having you onboard again soon.
