It was a bright and sunny day as guest started boarding the Belize Aggressor IV for a Wonderful Week of Eat, Sleep and Dive. And that is just the way we started. After a welcome briefing guest enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared Chef Jerry and the galley staff, while the Belize Aggressor IV made her way to our night mooring for a long night sleep.
Sunday December 3rd
Saturday was a busy day for guest traveling, unpacking, eating a wonderful dinner and sleeping while we traveled. But that’s over it’s time for the diving part of Eat, Sleep & Dive! Our first dive site is Julies Jungle where everyone fine-tuned their buoyancy and made sure cameras were good. As we entered the clear warm Belizean waters a colorful reef and a huge array of Marine Life greeted us. Just some of what we enjoyed seeing was Banded Butterflyfish, Spotted Moray Eels, Sea Plumes, Brain Corals, Mackerel, Yellowhead Jawfish and Turtles. Our next dive site was Long Caye Wall swimming with schools of Creole Wrasses, Large Nassau and Tiger Groupers, Huge Green Moray Eel swimming out in the open, Caribbean Reef and Nurse Sharks and several Turtles one Small Hawksbill stayed close to a few guest for some family pictures.
Monday December 4th
For most people Monday morning mean the end of a good weekend, time to head to work. But here on the Belize Aggressor IV our Monday’s are a bit different we make bubbles. Today we visited two of my favorites, Half Moon Caye Wall and Eagle Ray Wall. Between these two-dive sites we saw so much Marine Life it could fill an ID Book. Just some of what we enjoyed was Hundreds of Garden Eels, Banded Coral Shrimps, Colorful Hard Corals, Soft Coral, Sponges, Friendly Nassau Groupers, Caribbean Spiny Lobsters, Banded Butterflyfish, Queen Triggerfish, Southern Stingrays, Spotted Toadfish, Caribbean Reef Sharks and Spotted Eagle Rays. It was a pretty good Monday, how was yours? Make a change, next Monday come with us on the Belize Aggressor IV; it really is the prefect day!
Tuesday December 5th
After watching a Colorful Sunrise the Belize Aggressor IV made her way to a dive site just off Half Moon Caye called Lighthouse Wall. While diving Lighthouse Wall we saw Huge Porcupinefish, Honeycomb Cowfish, Bight Colored Sponges, Black Corals and Reef Sharks. Next dive site was the Colorful Painted Wall. The wall is covered with Deep Water Fans, Black Corals, Huge Colorful Tube, Basket and Vase Sponges. Swimming near was schools of Blue Tangs, Free Swimming 4 foot Green Moray Eels, Large Caribbean Spiny Lobster, Channel Clinging Crabs and Several Octopus.
Wednesday December 6th
Angelfish Wall was our first dive site of the day where we swam along side Hundreds of Garden Eels, Yellowhead Jawfish, one having eggs, Southern Stingrays, Huge Ocean Triggerfish, Reef Sharks and Angelfish. The next dive site was called Quebrada, one of my favorites of the week. Most of the reef and top of the wall under the vessel was 13-25 feet of water and covered with Colorful Corals and schooling fish. As we swam near the edge of the wall and even down along the wall we encountered more Bushy Black Coral, Deep Water Fans and a Variety of Sponges. Some of the Marine Life we saw was Eels, Mackerel, Trunkfish, Banded Coral Shrimps, Sharks, Lobsters and Toadfish.
