Sunday December 3rd
Receiving the guests at Male Velana International airport and transfer to Grandezza for installation, briefings and set up of dive tender for next morning dives.
Nice dinner served by chefs and rest.
Monday December 4th
After light breakfast, check dive on Lankan, no mantas but many fish life. Second dive after breakfast with the joy of a very friendly couple of mantas, majestic animals around the cleaning station made our day, which we completed with a funny dive at the wall of Rasdoo on a sunset dive after sailing whole afternoon.
Dinner under the stars, post dive briefing and manta presentation.
Tuesday December 5th
Rasdoo ocean tentative for hammerheads at sunrise, followed by great breakfast, second dive Rasdoo Madivaru walls, always full of fish life, sharks, rays, groups of jacks, then head south to Maaya thila in Ari atoll for the third dive, also spectacular, with some white tips, school of baby barracudas, 4 turtles and a camouflated Stone fish, plus a night dive also in Maaya thila.
Wednesday December 6th
Baathala thila first, surrounded by school of Indian Banner fish and a large school of silver jacks, followed by Baathala kandu with several grey reef sharks, a large napoleon in the outgoing currents, lunch, siesta, then Mushimas delighted by the large school of yellow snappers, friendly turtles, some moray eels and few grey reef sharks, to set sail to Dhiggiri for a night bbq under the brilliant moon.
Thursday December 7th
Only a Manta this morning dive, then started search for the whale shark and a night dive on the neighbor reef. Possibility to visit the local island of Maamigili for the ones who did not dive tonight.
Friday December 8th
Whale shark day, glorious morning snorkeling and diving with 2 different animals, long time we could follow him making pictures and even some selfies while he was feeding from the abundant plankton … exhausted, lunch and sail west to Alimatha to night dive on the Jetty surrounded by nurse sharks, sting rays and jacks, a day difficult to forget.
Saturday December 9th
Couple of dives in the morning to say goodbye to the Maldivian reefs, some grey reef sharks, large school of jacks, turtle, banner fish formations, anemones with porcelain crabs, some large trevallies and large snappers.
The we sail to Male atoll to visit the capital island guided by the local guide, do some shopping, and back on board for dinner, video of the trip and week awards.
Another great week of diving, this time with gorgeous weather and nice group of American divers.
Sunday December 10th, check out in the morning for transfer to Male Airport and end of the trip, Thanks to the divers who came as guests and leave as friends!
