Thursday Jan 1st
This week we welcomed aboard a boat full with people from different parts of the world USA, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany. We picked everyone up from Baltra Airport in the morning and headed out to a briefing and to get ready for our check dive.
Friday Jan 2nd
On these first days we changed our itinerary due to inconvenients that were not programmed. We visited then the highlands of Santa Cruz to check lava tunnels and to check on the famous giant tortoises, the Galapagos. They were peacefully walking around the place, in the wild.
We started off with a morning dive at Punta Carrión: we were lucky to see a lot of marine life such us hammerhead sharks, black tip sharks, Galapagos sharks, mola molas, salemas, mobulas, sea turtles, eagle rays, moray eels and tropical fish at this site.
Saturday Jan 3rd
During Saturday, we visited Gordon Rocks, the top of a submerged cone that is located nearby Santa Cruz Island and Mosquera, a rocky islet preferred resting place for a huge colony of sea lions. Here, we could dive with hammerhead sharks, mobulas, golden cowrays, moray eels, eagle rays, sea turtles, barracudas, scorpion fish, white tip sharks and tropical fish.
Sunday Jan 4th
Sunday started with a dive at Wolf Island, one of the best places to dive at the Galapagos. We swam with hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, Eagle rays, moray eels, sea turtles, sea lions, jacks, tunas, dolphins and barracudas.
Monday Jan 5th
Around Darwin Island, we had another dive time, in which we saw whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, black tip sharks, moray eels, scorpion and tropical fish.
Tuesday Jan 6th
Going down south, at Cabo Douglas and Punta Vicente Roca, Tuesday gave us the chance to see other variety of the marine life: we could swim with mola molas, marine iguanas, penguins, cormorants, sea turtles, sea lions, sea horses, salemas and tropical fish.
Wednesday Jan 7th
On Wednesday, after a night navigation going east, we could visit Cousins Rock. She was waiting for us with eagle rays, sea turtles, sea lions, scorpion fish, barracudas, moray eels and tropical fish.
Thursday Jan 8th
Despite the initial inconvenient we had, we were glad to have served our visitants and to show them the Enchanted Islands. We said bye to our guests, hoping that they had great dives, lovely experiences to remember and a great week.
Thanks again for joining us along the Galapagos Aggressor; we hope to see you again soon!
