Dive Sites: Sandy Slope & Painted Wall
The week started out with our check out dives at Sandy Slope on Turneffe Atoll. After everyone got weighted properly we started our descent to a great morning of diving, where we saw free-swimming morays, several groupers, lots of lobsters, a huge school of Creole wrasse, and tons of reef fish. We also found a few rare macro subjects, such as a red-lipped batfish, a lined sole, 2 pipehorses, a very tiny pipefish, and a small seahorse.
At lunch we started motoring to Lighthouse Reef, and tied up to Painted Wall for the afternoon and night dives. On the dives we saw another free swimming moray, lots of sergeant majors, a small reef shark, and a nurse shark.

Mon July 20, 2015
Dive Sites: Julie’s Jungle & Eagle Ray Pass
The exciting dives picked up from yesterday as we hopped in at Julie’s Jungle for the morning dives, and Eagle Ray Pass for the afternoon and night dives. At Julie’s Jungle one could appreciated the massive sponges and abundance of marine life that inhabit this site. We swam for about 10 mins toward the South to take pictures of a massive and unique 6ft sponge that had 6 other sponges growing from its base. We also found 2 scorpionfish, morays, several lettuce sea slugs, and a tiny juvenile trunkfish. Though we did not see any Eagle rays at Eagle Ray Pass, as soon as we dropped it, there was a free swimming moray and a Hawksbill turtle. We also came across a green turtle and blacktip reef shark later in the dive.

Tues July 21, 2015
Dive Sites: Long Caye Ridge & Long Caye Wall
On day 3 of the charter, the exciting dives continued. We started at Long Caye Ridge and finished the day at Long Caye Wall. Today’s sightings included a Caribbean Reef shark, a huge Eagle Ray, several decorator crabs, a big Southern Stingray, and a tiny octopus hanging out in a barrel sponge, and another larger octopus out in the open on the sand, a scorpionfish hiding on the reef, and several cleaning stations. We also found a pair of slender filefish, a group of barracuda, a hawksbill turtle, and some Queen Angelfish feeding.

Wed July 22, 2015
Dive Sites: Half Moon Caye Wall & Silver Caves
Today the Eagle Rays found us. We saw at least 9 Eagle Rays, a Green sea turtle, and 2 Caribbean Reef sharks while diving the wall at Half Moon Caye. In the sand we saw tons of garden eels and razor fish. There were also several Southern stingrays, some flounder, a school of blue parrotfish, barracuda, and a 2 very friendly Nassau groupers. In the grass beds we spotted pipefish, pipehorse, flapping dingbats, and some headshield slugs.
Over at Silver Caves we saw more sharks, rays, and a turtle, as well as, morays, and a seahorse.

Thurs July 23, 2015
Dive Sites: Long Caye Ridge & Chain Wall
Today the sharks and Eagle Rays were all over the place. We had some very up close and personal encounters with 4 Caribbean Reef sharks, saw some Eagle rays cruising by, and swam along with Nassau and Black groupers.

Fri July 24, 2015
Dive Sites: Long Caye Wall & Aquarium
We ended the week off with 2 early dives on Friday. It was a great summary of the week as we drifted along the wall and passed by the plethora of reef fish waking up. We also saw a couple reef sharks and 2 free swimming morays.

Congrats to Nancye and Dustin on their 200th dive, and Congrats to Mac on his 100th dive.
Also, Congrats to Dustin, Mac, Bert, and Bob on getting their IRON DIVER awards.

Hope to see you all again. Thank you for visiting us on the Belize Aggressor III. EAT, SLEEP, & DIVE!
