Guests began the boarding process after 3:00PM. Each guest shown to their cabins and SCUBA gear setup. We had our welcome aboard briefing and champagne toast at 5:30PM. The winds were light and the sea calm, so after dinner we motor to Lighthouse Reef Atoll. Sunday February 28th …The check out dives were made on Julie’s Jungle with a variety of soft corals and lots of fish. The afternoon and night dives were fun with great photo opportunities: octopus, channel crabs, squid, and tarpon were seen. Monday February 29th (LEAP YEAR) …For the extra day in the Year why not go diving - we did. We made the splash at one of my favorite dives sites - Half Moon Caye Wall. Southern stingrays, hawks bill turtles, thousands of garden eels, hog fish, and large Nassau groupers paid the divers a visit. The afternoon and night dives were equally as good. Tuesday March 1st …The Blue Hole was the first dive of the day. Lights winds allowed Captain Wayne to fly his drone around to capture some great aerial shots of the Blue Hole. After the dive we motored to Half Moon Caye to check out the red footed boobie birds and magnificent frigates that nest the entire year on the island. The afternoon dives were made on Silver Caves with nice swim-thrus, beautiful sponges, lots of hiding places for small critters in the gorgonians, and a great shallow reef providing lots of cleaning stations. Wednesday March 2nd …Caves, swim-thrus, and vertical walls is what Tarpon Caves is all about. We had lots of cool encounters with nurse sharks, reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, and southern stingrays during the dives. Thursday March 3rd …More sharks and rays were encountered at Chain Wall. Just a beautiful reef in general, always something unique on this site. For the afternoon and night dives we checked out Quebrada. Fermin found a seahorse in 40 feet along the wall, a big 8 foot nurse shark was seen and the night dive was “off the hook”. Large eye toad fish, octopus, squid, crabs, eels, nudibranchs and lots of tarpon. After the night dive we motor to Turneffe Islands to finish out the week of diving. Friday March 4th …An early morning dive on Front Porch with dolphins made for a great way to wake up. After a hot breakfast, then another dive at Black Beauty ended a fantastic week of diving in Belize! Once we arrived port, the guests relaxed until our cocktail party at 6:00PM and a little award presentation for the following divers: Iron Divers - Helene, Stephane, Beatrice, Florence, Philippe Aggressor Addicts - Don & JoAnne - 25 trips! SSI Open Water Diver - Deborah PADI Enriched Air Divers - Dieter, Natalie, Thomas PADI Rescue Diver - Natalie Saturday March 5th …Well that’s the week folks and at 8:00AM the crew said their good byes as the guests departed the Beautiful Belize Aggressor III. EAT, SLEEP, & DIVE! Captain Jay Roberts
