This week we had a special event happening on the dives, the Golden Cow nose rays came to the dive sites along with what we call Mobulas rays, both types of rays appeared in groups of hundreds in some of the dives and they were also in the dark water as we had thermoclines going thru the dive sites, dark water that look what you see in a movie when the play the scene of the sand storm in the dessert, just like that this cold dark water would come the rays along (not all the time thought) but after a minute or two the cold water would be gone, apart from the “sand storms” some of the sites had very strong currents, the dive in general were good, with the golden rays the mobula rays, the southern stingrays, nurse shark, white tip sharks and more some places had countless fish, turtles and more, the weather on top of the water was close to perfect and guests were amazingly friendly and very easy going, there were a couple of other surprises this week like the electric bull’s eye ray and the guitar fish that made the dive for some of us, not to mention the school of barracudas on our first day they were so many they made the dive go dark cause they were blocking the sun light, yes that many. This was our last trip to this new Adventure called Caño Island and I looking forward diving Caño next year.

Thanks to all of our guests; Peter, Andrew and Barbara, Terry and Frederick, Micehlle and Timothy, Andrea, Lana, Alena and James, Hildi and Nate, Robert and Maria, Ronald, Jon Kay and Jim. For a great week of diving.

Cap. Beto
