A torrencial rain welcomed our guests on their arrival day.Once onboard a cocktail was served and the safety briefing explained.
The sailing to the island started with most of our guests willing to sleep after a very long trip from Asia.
This was an 8 days trip, a shorter one, but we still had the time to dive every single dive.
On the first dives, not even 2 minutes that we were underwater, a beautiful manta swam over our heads! That’s a start.
Then , not further than 3 meters, a tiger shark…and when we went to manuelita deep, they were schools of hundreds of hammerheads, very common on this dive site this time of year and thanks to la Niña that makes water colder, we can see hammerheads shallower than ever.
Dirty Rock, Punta Maria and viking and pajara were our next choices, all great dives. In Punta maria we found apart from the usual hammehreads and galapago sharks, a huge school pf red snapper, simply beautiful.
We tried to go Dos amigos, but weather was choppy and then we decided to go back to dirty rock and punta maria simnce they were such good dives.
Our last dives were Manuelita, Alcyone and Dirty rock.
Alcyone was as usual one of the highlights of the week but lots of hammerheards, white tips resting on the bottom, beautiful viz, school of snappers and jack fish!
Just a great diving week on the island of sharks,
Thanks lots to all our guests , looking forward having you onboard.
