This week we happily & eagerly greeted our new family members from USA, a total of 19 guests on board. After a welcome drink and being showed to their cabins everyone gathered in the dining area for the general boat briefing and introduction of the crew. After setting up equipment and finishing some paperwork, they were free to visit the very mystical Port Ghalib at sunset hours. After our dinner it was time for a glass of local wine & off to bed.
started in Port Ghalib and continued in Marsa Shoona and Shaab Abu Dabab. Ring bells at 7 am. Sun shines in Port Ghalib. At 9 am we leave the harbour for our Southern itinerary diving trip.
Marsa shoona is the first destination of our diving trip. We plan to spend there 2 dives. Visibility is outstanding. Boat to boat dive to check buoyancy and diving equipment. We enjoy a large garden of fire corals, lion and pipe fishes, glassfish and goat fishes, masked butterfly fishes, blue spotted stingrays and puffer fishes. After the dive we sail to Shaab Abu Dabab for the night dive .A Beautiful coral garden composed by mountain dome and mushroom corals .The night dive offer us the chance to spot different kinds of shrimps, Scorpion fish. Time for dinner and at night we sail southern and reach the remote and pristine reefs of Daedalus reef. We score 4 dives.
We sail all night to reach the offshore reef of Daedalus, 45 miles away from the coastline of Marsa Alam., wind blows at 6 knots. The early morning dive is located at the west side of the reef. We saw a Hammerhead Sharks ,Black Snappers, Barracudas. Late morning we dived at the North plateau .We drifted with a current above the plateau watching big Barracuda, Trevallies, Moray Eel.
. The late afternoon dive is located at the anemone city where a large colony of clown fish guards their anemones. We took a hundred photos and video of anemones and we continued our dive along the west wall where we encountered a Moray eel, Giant Trevally and. The last dive we did it of the boat on the south plateau. And oceanic white tip reef Shark
Captain Said moved the boat to ST John’s reef we were sailing all the night in the morning we were in very beautiful dive sit . Paradise reef one of ST John’s reef, the first dive was shallow dive we saw anemone fish and Angelfish
Then we moved for the second dive ST John Caves reef three Napoleons wrasse were swimming with us for more than 20 minutes then we have to leave them to discover the swim through and the caves in the reef. Night dive was in the same place and we saw partout fish and many of the basket Star .
Early in the morning we were in Sataeh reef south side and there was our first dive beauriful reef nice coral garden lots of fish we did the second dive olsoe there then we moved the boat north of the reef to look for the Dolphins and we were lucky and the dolphin were there we swam with them for more than an hour and then we moved to Gota Sataeh and there we sow our first Turtle this week night dive was in ther same place after the night dive we sail north to Gota elsharm.

Ring bells at 6 am and we anchor in the large and outstanding offshore reef of Shaab Sharm, 10 miles away from the city of Marsa Alam. The first dive is a boat to zodiac dive along the east wall and south plateau of the reef. We descent along the wall and gently drift along his sides. We contemplate giant fan corals and purple and lavender soft corals. The second dive is a boat to boat dive. We slowly descend just below the boat and reach the drop off wall. The wall hosts a large variety of hard corals,White tip Shark , schools of banner red sea fish and black snappers, red sea groupers, moray eel and. Time for lunch and we sail to Shaab Marsa Alam. The afternoon and night dive are located in the south side of Shaab Marsa alam with colorful pinnacles of corals standing from a white sandy bottom.. The night dive offered us hunting moray eel, a sea star, a sole fish and plenty of sea urchins.
Day 6 started in Abu Dabab III. Visibility is crystal clear, perfect day for diving. Beautiful scenery with colorful hard corals, clouds of Anthias, nice turtle school of sardines, wart slug, anemones and bat fish , such relaxing and colorful dives with outstanding coral formations. Second dive was also there .now is the Time for a lunch and it is time to come back to Port Ghalib. At 3 pm we are back at the marina of Port Ghalib. At 5pm the cocktail party starts. It is time to celebrate our Diving Trip and Iron Divers.
