The Sea of Cortez, also known as the Gulf of California is situated between the California Baja Peninsula and the western border of Mexico.  Divers can see sea lions, mobula rays, dolphins, huge schools of fish, manta rays and whale sharks. The macro life is plentiful as well. The Socorro Aggressor docks at the Marina Cantamar located in Pichilingue Bay, next to the ferry station.

ITINERARY  

The itinerary is completely dependent on the winds and weather.

Average water temperature in September is 85 F/29 C

With all dives from the dive tenders, up to four dives are offered each day with two on the last day.   

SAMPLE ITINERARY:

  • Day 1           Pick up at 4 pm at host hotel for transfer to boat in La Paz   
  • Day 2          3 to 4 dives at Espiritu Santo Island, Fang Ming, El Bajito  
  • Day 3          3 to 4 dives at the Southern Sea Lion Colony at Los Islotes  
  • Day 4          3 to 4 dives at Las Animas  
  • Day 5          3 to 4 dives at San Francisquito  
  • Day 6          3 to 4 dives at El Bajo Seamounts 
  • Day 7          2 dives, route to La Paz     
  • Day 8          Early Check out and transfer to hotel or airport.   

Fees: Marine Park fee $78 paid onboard, cash only.

Costabaja Beach Resort & Spa 5 Star Resort located just 15 minutes from Balandra and Tecolote beaches, 10 minutes to the historical centre. The hotel is located close to many bars, nightspots and tourist attractions. La Paz International Airport is a 30 minutes drive.  

Hyatt Place La Paz 4 Star Resort located in the exclusive area of Costa Baja that has a beach, golf course and restaurants. It’s just a few minutes away from the historic downtown and traditional “Malecon”.  

Airport Transfers are approximately $50.00 Per Person
