    Ben Phillips

    Cruise Director/Photo Pro

Originally from Nantucket, Massachusetts, Ben started his professional diving career on the other side of the world over 9 years ago, working as a diving instructor and professional underwater photographer in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines at land based dive resorts for 6 years. During this time, he traveled to and photographed some of the most rare species in many of the best diving locations in the “Coral Triangle.” He then decided to move off land and onto live aboard dive boats, as Cruise Director on a liveaboard in the Philippines in 2017.

Ben joined the Aggressor Fleet on the Bahamas Aggressor in 2018 as cruise director and photo pro, documenting some of the best shark encounters in the world in Tiger Beach and the Exumas. After the Bahamas, he worked on the Turks and Caicos Aggressor during the humpback whale season in the Dominican Republic, which proved to be some of the most amazing encounters and photos of his career. In April of 2109, he moved to Aggressor’s flagship boat as Cruise Director and photo pro in the Cayman Islands, which is one of his favorite locations in the world to live and work. After obtaining his 200 ton Captain's license in early 2020, he has been training as an aspiring Captain for the fleet.

His underwater photography has been published in several periodicals and magazines all over the world, and he has given many lectures and slideshows to promote marine conservation, especially from the offshore waters of the “Canyons” off Nantucket, an area which had never previously been documented.
