Gardens of the Queen (Jardines de la Reina), Cuba: Seven-nights, Jucaro
Guests will spend seven nights onboard the Jardines Aggressor II® liveaboard exploring the spectacular Gardens of the Queen (Jardines de la Reina) National Park. During the week, Cuban specialists will host nightly discussions and presenta- tions on the marine environment, conservation, and the importance of this magnificent ecosystem.
Jardines de la Reina is located 60 miles off the southeastern coast of Cuba, and it is the largest ma- rine reserve in the Caribbean. In 1996, the area was declared a National Park and has been protected and managed for conservation ever since. It is filled with sharks, beautiful reefs, turtles, and schools of fish. The abundant marine life, caves, underwater canyons and reefs make it an explorer’s paradise.
The Jardines Aggressor II® adventure includes up to four dives per day. Diving begins Sunday morning. There are two dives on Friday and a conservation program. All dives are made from dive tenders.
