Waiwo Resort & Dive Into Raja Ampat
The Waiwo Resort, located on Wasai Island, is the largest island in Raja Ampat and is a one hour ferry ride from Sorong. There are 2 direct flights per day from Manado, Ambon and Jakarta to Sorong. We recommend a 4 day/3 night package before or after your Aggressor stay. The beach front jungle resort is host to local wildlife such as the Indonesian Cuscus and birds of paradise. The air-conditioned rooms have ensuite bathrooms with waterfront, seaviews and garden views.
From stunning coral gardens and schools of colorful fish to encounters with manta rays and reef sharks, 3 dives a day are offered. There are lots of activities such as exploring the Kali Biru River, jungle birdwatching tours to see some of the rarest birds in the world such as vibrantly colored kingfishers to the majestic birds of paradise. Rimba Orangutan Ecolodge & River Safari
Guests will take a flight from Jakarta to Pangkalan Bun Airport where you will be greeted and taken to board a traditional klotok wooden river boat to the Rimba Orangutan Ecolodge in the jungle. It is a timber lodge with air conditioned rooms with walkways joining the rooms to the restaurant, reception, lounge and office.
During your 4 day/3 night magical stay, you will see orangutans in the wild and may encounter up to 7 other primate species at Camp Leakey, Tanjung Harapan and Pondok Tanguy stations inside the misty rain forest surrounded by proboscis monkeys, macaques, gibbons, birds including the giant hornbills and other exotic flora and fauna. Guests will also visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated orangutans.
