Egyptian Birds are a major part of the of the Nile River ecosystem. Bird life on the Nile is a vital part of the rivers balance of life. Egypt boasts over 501 species, ranging from tiny Kingfishers, regal Pelicans, graceful Egrets, the ornamental Egyptian Goose and the sacred African Ibis. All these and many, many more local and migratory birds can be seen in the wetlands, lakes and desert habitats along the Nile River during your charter on the Aggressor Nile Queen II between Luxor and Aswan.
Egyptian birds like the Nile Valley Sunbird, Greater Painted-snipe, Red Avadavat and migrating raptors are a major attraction in the Nile River ecosystem. During six-day, five-night Aggressor Nile Queen II cruises, private guides accompany guests to parks, lakes and Egypts archeological treasures. Birding expeditions depart from Luxor and sail to Aswan taking in breathtaking views along Egypt's Nile River Delta. Transportation to parks and historical sites is included.

Sri Lanka Group Birding Adventure
Aggressor Signature Lodges® 7 days / 6 nights
Northern Sri Lanka is one of the best places in the world for watching birds, where you may see a wide spectrum of resident and migratory birds on the island. The seven-day, six-night packages at Sri Lanka Signature Lodge includes guided jeep tours in Sri Lanka’s Wilpattu, Minneriya and Kalawewa national wildlife parks. Sri Lanka is home to up to 34 endemic bird species and over 450 recorded species. The parks are also home to elephant herds, jaguars, sloth bears and crocodiles. These small group adventures also include visits to the ancient city of Anuradhapura and Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
Sri Lanka, being a tropical country, does not have any major seasonal changes like in winter countries. You can watch resident birds in Sri Lanka throughout the year. October to April is the time where you can witness migrant birds in Sri Lanka and if you want to witness both migrant and endemic birds in Sri Lanka best time is from November to April.
Sunday to Saturday itineraries include:
- Jeep transportation to parks/historical sites with a private local nature and bird guide.
- Tours include daily jeep safaris with a private guide to Willpattu, Minneriya and Kalawewa National Parks and entrance fees to all.
- Chalet accommodations at the lodge with five-star service and a private bird hide, overlooking the Kala Oya River, exclusive to our guests.
- Chef-prepared meals and snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, local beer and wine at the lodge.
