August 23rd, 2023

1st dive: Arrived in Malapascua from Mactan wharf, we started our first dive for this trip in Kimud shoal. Lots of thresher sharks roaming around the small shoal. Some octopus have been spotted in this dive site as well as some nudibranchs.

2nd dive: Same dive site Kimud shoal. We encountered the thresher sharks once again and roamed the area to appreciate the coral reef.

3rd dive: from Kimud shoal to Gato Island. We went through the tunnel and found a white tip shark and some dragon sea moths.

4th dive: last dive for today still in Gato Island as our sunset dive exiting in night dive. More nudibranchs were spotted in the area as well as a giant cuttlefish, White tip reef shark.

 

August 24th, 2023

1st dive: from Gato Island we have arrived to Malapascua island for the first dive of the day, Deep slope, we have found a giant sea horse as well as some nudibranchs around the area. We also found a juvenile blue ring octopus and some gorgonian pygmy seahorse.

2nd dive: Lapus-lapus dive site, we found a frog fish, mating nudibranchs, hitode yadori ebi, and kikamoyo omiyoshi.

3rd dive: deep rock dive site, we have found a big cuttlefish, some nudibranchs and a hairy elbow shrimp. Some eels and some stripped catfish.

4th dive: a beautiful night dive to end the day in exotic house reef, we have found a rhinopia and some school of batfish, school of jacks, some hermit crabs and mandarin fish in the area.

 

August 25th, 2023

1st dive: We arrived in monad shoal, we found eels, nudibranchs, and enjoyed the top reef of the sight while in search of the tiger shark around the area.

2nd dive: For the 3rd time we head back to kimud shoal for some shark action. The divers have seen the reef manta ray and thresher sharks, we also found some nudibranchs in the area.

3rd dive: After the shark and manta action we arrived in Capitancillo. We explored the top reef and the wall side of this dive site. We found different kinds of nudibranchs as well as some shrimps and gobies.

4th dive: Sunset dive in Capitancillo, we found different kinds of nudibranchs, lionfish, and some scorpionfish as well as some hairy and glass shrimps. Anemones were found scattered in the area.

 

August 26th, 2023

1st dive: From Capitancillo we arrived in Bohol, dive site is called lamanok. The visibility was a bit fuzzy, but we have found nudibranchs, blue spotted stingray, ghost pipefish, and frogfish

2nd dive: for the second dive we went to the same area, we spotted different types of nudibranchs, couple of blue-spotted stingray, dragon sea moth.

3rd dive: from lamanok, we moved to Anda, Bohol; turtle point. We are greeted by some green sea turtles, purple queen anthias, nudibranchs, and pipefish.

4th dive: last dive for this day, sunset dive in lumayag, beautiful wall covered with different types of sponge corals, hard corals, and soft corals. We have found different kinds of nudibranchs, scorpionfishes, school of fusiliers and eels.

 

August 27th, 2023

1st dive: Starting the day with a new dive site in pamilacan, Bohol. In this dive site in mangrove point we found school of jacks, green sea turtles, sexy shrimp, cleaner shrimp, nudibranchs.

2nd dive: still in mangrove point, we encountered a school of snappers, ruby fusiliers, scorpionfish and different types of nudibranchs.

3rd dive: for our third dive, we changed the dive site to Spanish tower. Northern part of pamilacan. We found a painted frogfish on one of the soft corals, some dragon sea moths, razor fish and nudibranchs.

4th dive: Sunset dive in white beach, nudibranchs as usual scattered in the area, isopod and peacock mantis shrimp, porcelain and hermit crabs are found in this area.

 

August 28th, 2023

1st dive: starting a new day in Balicasag, Bohol. Beautiful slope covered with different types of hard and soft corals. We have found green sea turtles and hawksbills turtles. We are also enchanted by different schools of damselfish and fusiliers.

2nd dive: in this dive we went to doljo dive site. We found the garden of Eden corals, mackerel, trumpet pipefish, stonefish, and nudibranchs.

3rd dive: still in doljo we found different types of reef fish, barracuda, and nudibranchs as well as different kinds of shrimp.

August 29th 2023

1st dive: from Bohol to Cebu, we arrived in sumilon island. We are greeted with a nice visibility a slow current. In this dive we have found

2nd dive: still in sumilon, we encountered a white tip reef shark, school of fish, anthias, lionfish and jackfish.

3rd dive: Ending our dive on this island, we found a scorpionfish, big mouth mackerel fish. Great Barracuda, and ruby fusiliers.

4th dive: From sumilon, we cruised towards thalata, Dumaguete for our night dive. In this dive we found a sea horse, juvenile frogfish, sheep nudibranch, different types of sea slugs and crabs, razor fish, and flying gurnard.

August 30th, 2023

1st dive: From thalata, Dumaguete, we cruised towards apo island in the dive site called coconut point. We greeted by a small hawksbill turtle and found different kinds of nudibranchs, pygmy gobies, stonefish and ended our dive with a farewell from the great barracuda.

2nd dive: for our second dive, we ventured through the coral gardens of cogon. We found different kinds of nudibranchs and different colors of fusiliers. We also found some turtles and sea slugs in this region.

3rd dive: for the last dive before we bid farewell to apo island, we did our last dive in this dive site called the chapel. We found a leaf scorpionfish, some nudibranchs, an octopus was caught lurking in the depths of the chapel, as well as a candy cane pygmy goby, some pipefish, peacock mantis shrimp and some banded sea snake.

 

August 31st, 2023

1st dive: From apo island we cruised towards Lapu-Lapu gilutungan island. In this dive we have found a school of giant trevally, school of batfish, school of rabbitfish, some shrimp gobies, randolls, damselfish and anthias.

2nd dive: Ending this dive trip, for our last dive. we went back to gilutungan. We found different kinds of nudibranchs, angelfish, batfish, a white stonefish, and had fun sprinkling sand and watched as the reef fish tried to eat the sand mistaking it for breadcrumbs.
