The water temperature for the trip was between 80-84 Fahrenheit. A 3mm wetsuit is recommended.

October 13th, Sunday

1st Dive. The first dive was as a check dive in Napantao, Southern Leyte.  We started in a shallow and relaxed dive site, and we saw a school of different reef fish like anthias and damselfish, mantis shrimp, and cool nudibranchs.

2nd Dive. The next dive was still in Napantao, but this time we did the famous South Wall. This site was teeming with underwater life. There were many schooling Anthias with different colors, golden damsels, a wide variety of colorful nudibranchs, a school of busy fusiliers, reef fishes like angelfish and butterfish, and other colorful invertebrates in the beautiful stage of hard and soft corals. Giant barrel sponges were also present in the area as well as the decoration of gorgonians.

3rd Dive. The afternoon dive was done in Malitbog area. We did muck diving in the famous Little Lembah site. We saw many sheep nudibranchs in their natural habitat. Skeleton shrimps were everywhere, different colorful and rare nudibranchs, different colors of thorny seahorse and Kuda seahorse, small warty frogfish, flounders, beautiful cowries, shrimps, and crabs.

4th Dive. The last dive of the day was in Malitbog Pier. During the dark, as we descended to the bottom of the Pier, we saw right away beautiful seahorses, Giant frogfish, crinoid shrimps, squat lobsters, arrowhead crabs, common shrimps, banded pipefish, bobtail squid, small stary octopus, rare nudibranchs, and flatworms.

October 14th, Monday

1st Dive. From Southern Leyte, we moved to Lamanok Island in Anda, Bohol. We saw the giant and warty frogfish, scorpionfish, devil scorpionfish, blue-spotted stingray, nudibranchs in many kinds, candy crabs, crinoid shrimps, a school of snappers, huge day octopus, school of emperor fish, and beautiful reef top.

2nd Dive. After Lamanok Island, we moved to the Virgen Point Dive site. We saw a school of yellow lined snappers, green and hawksbill sea turtles, Banana nudibranchs, thorny seahorse, orangutan crabs, bluefin trevally, giant frogfish, squat shrimps, school of fusiliers, candy crabs, and pipefish.

3rd Dive. The afternoon dive was done in the coral garden. It was an easy chill dive as we saw two huge frogfish, warty frogfish, sea turtles, midnight snappers, schooling cardinal fish and soldier fish, batfish, egg cowries, and pipefish.

4th Dive. The last dive was at Magic Ocean House Reef. We saw small octopuses, bobtail squid, corralimorph crabs, different shrimps and crabs, flounders, flatheads, arrowhead crabs, squid, flatworms, nudibranchs, and fire worms.

October 15th, Tuesday

1st Dive. From Anda, we moved to Camiguin Island, the so-called “island born of fire” due to its many active volcanoes for a small island. We dove in Montague Island East Sanctuary and we saw an eagle ray from deep far, massive sea turtles both greens and hawksbill, different reef fish such as schooling batfish, sweetlips, and rainbow runner, locally named “ilak”, school of red snappers, school of rabbitfish, school of yellowtail small barracudas, few schools of jackfish, pufferfish, plenty of anemone fish, plenty of huge groupers, ribbon eel, and different crustaceans.

2nd Dive. The next dive was still in Mantigue Island, and we did the soft coral and tubbastrea slope/wall. We saw mantis shrimps, ribbon eels, moray eels, many resting sea turtles, school of snappers.

3rd Dive. The afternoon dive was at Mantigue Island West. We began our dive at the sandy seagrass areas where most sea turtles spent resting and feeding. We still saw many reef fish in different kinds. Bluefin trevallies were spotted also as well as garden eels.

4th Dive. The last dive was done in Kurma Freedive House Reef. We saw tiny red frogfish, common reef pipefish, banded pipefish,

Juvenile leafy scorpionfish, sheep nudibranchs, skeleton shrimps, flathead fish, clown crabs, orange funny crabs, bobtail squids, tiny octopus, and Spanish Dancer nudibranch.

October 16th, Wednesday

1st Dive. From Camiguin, we moved back to Bohol on Pamilacan Island. We did Dakit-Dakit West. We saw Green and hawksbill sea turtles, different nudibranchs, headshield slugs, flatworms, a school of batfish, a school of fusiliers, a school of bigmouth mackerel, a frogfish, a school of yellow snappers, a school of emperors, moray eels, school of beautiful colorful anthias.

2nd dive. We stayed at Dakit-Dakit and did the East side of the area. We saw the elusive Harlequin Shrimp, a school of batfish, bigmouth mackerel, shrimps, crabs, sea cucumbers, many urchins, and different nudibranchs.

3rd Dive. Our 3rd dive was in Arco Point near Dumaluan Beach. We saw cool beautiful nudibranchs, clams, candy crabs, different shrimps, banded pipefish and common reef pipefish, juvenile batfish, sea moths, and spider crabs.

4th Dive. The last dive was in Alona House Reef. We saw more corralimorph carbs, decorator crabs, nudibranchs, razorfish, cuttlefish, flatworms, batfish, and squids.

BBQ party was done after the last dive serenaded by the crew singing karaoke with guests. We also did trivia night for the guests which made the evening more interesting.

October 17th, Thursday

1st Dive. We went to Balicasag Island for our first dive in the Black Forest Dive site. We saw many resting and feeding sea turtles during the beginning of the dive and even most of our dive time at the shallows. The reef was populated with many beautiful colorful reef fish such as Anthias from purple to yellow to pink to orange. Aside from that, we saw scorpionfish, giant frogfish, a school of twin-spot snappers, bigmouth mackerels, razorfish, moray eels, mantis shrimp, pufferfish, toby, trevally, a few scattered jackfish, and a sleeping baby whitetip reef shark.

2nd Dive. Still in Balicasag Island, our next Dive was at the Cathedral Dive site. As usual, we saw many green sea turtles as well as some hawksbill sea turtles. The reef top is saturated with beautiful schooling Anthias, damsels, wrasses, and other reef fish. We also saw frogfish, scorpionfish, batfish, and some moray eels.

3rd Dive. We moved to Napaling for our next dive. Here we saw a busy bait ball forming a tornado school of sardines. We saw some beautiful nudibranchs on the wall, and a small school of hunting trevallies such as bluefin trevallies, and mackerels.

4th Dive. The last dive was a night dive in Doljo Point. We saw common reef octopus, squids, cuttlefish, different types of nudibranchs, corralimorph crabs, huge decorator crabs carrying sponges on top, flounders, flathead fish, flatworms, and a wide variety of crustaceans such as crabs and shrimps.

October 18th, Friday

1st Dive. We started our dive in Oslob. We were greeted by numerous whale sharks of different sizes. We also saw bigmouth mackerels, batfish, and sea turtles.

2nd Dive. The next dive was in Sumilon Island West. We saw garden eels, Moray Eels, mantis shrimps, crinoid shrimps, squat shrimps, golden damsels and anthias, bluefin trevally, giant trevally, Spanish mackerel, whitetip reef sharks and blacktip reef sharks.

October 19th, Saturday
