Saturday

The guests started to arrive around 3pm and were welcomed with a cold drink. After check in guests looked around the boat and relaxed enjoying the pizza made by our chef. The boat briefing took place and then dinner was served. After dinner, all equipment was set up and guests went to bed ready for a great week of diving to start!

 Sunday

Guests were woken at 7.00am and enjoyed their hot breakfast while we awaited permission to leave. Permission granted the captain started the engines and we headed north to El Gota ready for our check dive. Full dive briefing given guests kitted up and entered the water. Weights and equipment checked we were ready to start the dive! We descended to the reef keeping the reef on the right then back to the boat after 1hour. Nice easy check dive with max depth 12m/36ft. Guests saw moray eel, school of banner fish and butterfly fish and much more. After the dive lunch was served and guests relaxed while the captain moved the boat to Marsa Torombi ready for dive 2 and 3. Divers got to see two octopuses, many scorpion fish, a turtle, a pipe fish, giant moray eels and more! Nice easy night dive at the same dive site with a maximum depth of 50ft. Fantastic dive guests saw pleurobranchs, sleeping parrot fish, basket and feather stars, hunting moray eel, star fish and a cuttle fish! After the dive dinner was served and guests relaxed before bed and crossing to Brothers Islands.

Monday

Guests were woken at 6am and enjoyed a light breakfast before dive 1.

Dive one off the boat at Little Brother. Guests saw a grey reef shark, barracudas, massive dogtooth tunas and enjoyed one of the most beautiful dive site in the world. Dive two at Little Brother a short tender ride around the reef. Guests went around the reef drifting with a current and seeing large school of jacks, groupers, blue spotted rays, nudis and much more.  The Capitan then moved the yacht to Big Brother Island for two afternoon dives. Dive three at south-west side of the Island where we saw friendly Napoleon fish, a scorpion fish, a pipe fish, clouds of fusilier fish and two grey reef sharks played around the group of divers swimming away and coming back. The wind died down and it was time to dive Numidia wreck at north tip of the Island. This wreck is famous for its impressive steam engine Guests descended on top of the wreck and down to the ventilation window leads us to the engine room. We continued inside to the exit. Great dive with a lot of marine life. Guests saw scorpion fish, sturgeon fish, anthias, groupers, jacks, batfish and much more.

Tuesday

Our divers awoke to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and new location for diving, Daedalus reef. Our first dive was south plateau. We had a school of barracuda in the beginning and a Napoleon wrasse hang out with us for most of the dive. We then cruised to east side of the reef. It was a terrific dive with a hammerhead shark, a cavern full of glassfish, anemones, barracudas and trevallies. This massive reef contains a plateau covered by anemones where we went for our third dive.  We then found a sticky anemone which hosts a couple of popcorn shrimps, and many tiny sexy shrimps. We encountered two scalloped hammerhead sharks and spent about 10 minuiets with them. They kept coming back to us giving a great opportunity for photos and videos. We finished the dive at the biggest elephant ear coral surrounded by clouds of anthias fish and half-and-half chromis. Sherif then wowed us all before the dive with a pizza. As we jumped in at south side of the reef for the last day dive, we were greeted by a napoleon fish family and a silky shark! It was a pretty epic first day all topped off with a weather report. No wind. We paid a visit to the Lighthouse and enjoyed the amazing view from the top before the dinner.

Wednesday

We awoke fresh and rested as we did not move last night. Our first dive was one of the most amazing wall at the northern side of Daedalus reef. We got to see large moray eel,black snappers, lots of reef fish and very large groupers. On the second dive we got to see a large school of unicorn fish, cleaner shrimps, several scorpion fish and much more. We enjoyed west wall for the third dive with abundance corals and marine life.  The last dive at that gorgeous underwater mountain was epic dive as we encountered the silky shark, large school of barracudas, bigeye trevallies, hundreds unicorn fish, a school of dogtooth tunas and more. We then said goodbye to the reef and traveled to coastline.

 Thursday

We awoke early morning at Abu Dabab 6 ready for the awesomeness that we were about to experience for the day. Our first dive was at Abu Dabab 6. Everyone enjoyed its coral garden, schools of reef fish such as yellow snappers, blue striped snappers and goat fish. We found an acropora coral hosts big family of lemon goby and unique red anemone and cute blennies. Dive two was at Abu Dabab 1 where we were greeted by a pod of dolphins and then spent about 15 minuets with huge green turtle. Next up a gorgeous dive at Elphinstone reef. We spotted pipe fish moray eels and enjoyed one of the most beautiful reef. When we got up from the dive, we motored over to Abu Dabab 3 for night dive. At night we spotted a spanish dancers, a moray eel, crabs, cuttle fish, several pleurobranchs and more. A beautiful site for night diving.  Chef Sherif cooked us up a turkey and a cake for dinner that blew everyone away. Everyone went to bed with full bellies and memories that will be with them forever.

Friday

We woke up early and gone diving at Habili Abu Dabab. The weather was windy but still nice and beautiful underwater. Divers were very lucky to see white tip reef shark, blue spotted stingrays, anemones and gorgeous corals. We did our last dive of the trip after breakfast at Abu Dabab 3. We found pipe fish, a crocodile fish and much more. With the last dive under our belts, we made tracks for Port Ghalib and to port. As our charter slowly came to a close, we celebrated our four new iron divers and the end of a beautiful charter with a wine and sushi party. Fun times were had by all, and we hope to see everyone back again soon.
