Day 1 – Saturday: Welcome Aboard
Under a blazing sun, the staff of the Cayman Aggressor IV welcomed 14 eager divers as they stepped aboard. Gear was organized, cabins claimed, and spirits soared. Captain Josh led a thorough safety briefing before Chef Chelsea dazzled everyone with maple-pistachio-crusted salmon, basmati rice, and tender asparagus. The evening closed on the sundeck, laughter drifting on the warm breeze as new friendships took shape.
Day 2 – Sunday: Reefs, Wrecks & First Encounters
0600: Engines roared to life. Breakfast aromas filled the salon while Captain Sarah outlined today’s dive plan.
Dive 1 – Governor’s Reef (Checkout):
A gentle drift over healthy coral heads alive with fish. Divers brushed off the cobwebs amid schools of blue tangs and damselfish.
Dive 2 – Governor’s Reef (Second):
Barracudas sliced through the blue, eagle rays glided overhead, and a nurse shark surveyed the reef floor. Tiny shrimp and porcelain crabs dotted the rocks.
Dive 3 – Kittiwake Wreck:
We explored the legendary 275?ft wreck, now a coral-clad monument bustling with life. Photographers captured dramatic shots of jacks patrolling the decks.
Dive 4 – Oro Verde (Afternoon & Night):
By day, schooling chubs and a curious loggerhead turtle. After sunset, an octopus emerged from coral rubble, its eyes glowing in our lights.
Day 3 – Monday: Walls & Crossings
A radiant morning saw us heading north to Hammerhead Hill on Grand Cayman.
Dive 1 – Hammerhead Hill:
A sheer wall descent rewarded early risers with green moray eels tucked in ledges and groupers lingering in crevices.
By midday, we transited to Babylon on the north side—a cathedral of sponges and sea fans.
Dive 2 – Babylon:
Divers drifted along colorful walls, marveling at barrel sponges and waving gorgonians while jacks and snapper glided by.
That afternoon, we plotted course for Little Cayman under turquoise skies.
Day 4 – Tuesday: Little Cayman’s Wonders
A slightly bouncy run brought us to pristine Marilyn’s Cut.
Dive 1 – Marilyn’s Cut:
Led by Dive Pro Sarah, the group threaded swim-throughs to the famed Mixing Bowl. Turtles, grunts, and lettuce slugs added charm to the wall dive.
Dark clouds gathered for the second dive at Sara’s Set, yet the gloom only heightened the thrill of finding a lone reef shark, pipefish, and a hidden stingray.
A sudden lightning storm cracked overhead as we raced for shelter—an electric finale to the day’s surface interval!
Dive 3 – Joy’s Joy (Afternoon & Night):
By evening calm, Joy’s Joy delivered macro magic: spotted lobsters, moray eels, and a playful nurse shark. Under the moonlit surface, rays and basket stars made their appearance.
We steamed overnight to Cayman Brac, the sea quiet behind us.
Day 5 – Wednesday: Brac’s Hidden Gems
At dawn, we dived the Keith Tibbetts Wreck, its 330-ft frame draped in sponges and thriving with reef life.
Dive 2 – Brac Reef:
Trunkfish, stingrays, fireworms, and filefish roamed the shallow garden.
A sunny afternoon found us at Bus Stop in Bloody Bay Wall: two massive turtles, a school of jawfish, and squid darting around anemones.
Dive 4 – The Meadows (Night):
Crabs scuttled over sand channels while a nurse shark cruised the ridge—an ideal nocturnal finale.
Day 6 – Thursday: Little Cayman’s Final Thrills
Dive 1 – Nancy’s Cup of Tea (Pre-Breakfast):
A baby reef shark joined our silent drift—proof that magic can happen any time.
Dive 2 & 3 – Randy’s Gazebo:
Two dives among turtle-lined walls, lettuce slugs, and darting filefish crowned our Little Cayman stretch.
Dive 4 – Great Wall:
A dramatic drop-off, where divers followed Captain Josh into the blue before surfacing to prepare for the crossing home.
Day 7 – Friday: Last Laps & Farewells
A calm morning delivered two final dives at Kittiwake—requested by our guests for one more wreck experience.
Dive 1 – Kittiwake:
We celebrated Kim’s 100th dive amid turtles, arrow crabs, and the smallest juvenile grey angelfish any of us had seen.
Dive 2 – White Stroke Canyon:
Dive Pro Braven led us past massive sponges, schooling drumfish, and playful jacks in a final salute to the reef.
Afternoon: Gear wash-down, packing, and quiet reflection before our 5 PM Wine & Cheese Awards Party.
Nitrox Certification: Joe
Milestone 100th Dive: Kim D.
Iron Divers: Bill, Michael, Nick, Melanie, Phil, Kim D., and Joe
